Why Taylor Swift Has Reigned the Music Industry
by K.S COWRITER OF THIS ACCOUNT
Over the past 2 decades, Taylor Swift has developed from a young country music singer to a successful pop artist. She has touched many lives and has gained popularity through out the years. As many of you know, her Eras Tour recently happened, and her popularity has soared through the roof. Now many of you may be wondering, how and why is she so successful? Here are a few reasons that might contribute to the cause of her great career and the large number of fans she has:
- She makes her fans ( Swifties) feel special and connected to her:
Taylor Swift is known for sharing her kindness and love to her fans. Not like other celebrity singers, Taylor actually connects and bonds with fans. For example, for all her albums she has Secret Sessions. Secret Sessions are when she invites fans she finds on social media and they hang out listening to the not — yet released albums. This contributes to the loyalty of Taylor’s fans.
2. She has a natural musical talent.
Taylor has currently 274 songs including her new double album TTPD . From these released songs, many people find Cruel Summer, Blank Space, Shake It Off, I Knew You Were Trouble, Fortnight, Lover, Love Story, Tim Mcgraw, and You Belong With Me, charming to the ear. People have to admit her songs and lyrics have been nice to sing and dance to. Mostly her successfulness came from her variety of music and good ear for tunes.
3. Her Timing, Marketing, and Business sense has all been savvy.
Not only does her music hit the right spot, it also hits the right audience. For example, during the pandemic she released two nature like albums Evermore and Folklore. People were just getting outside that time, so the genre matched the situation. Then, Taylor made another power move ( get it ? it’s a lyric from The Man) by rerecording the albums that she doesn’t have complete ownership of. She rerecorded the following albums :
Taylor Swift albums (Taylor’s Version) in release order
- Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (2021)
- Red (Taylor’s Version) (2021)
- Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) (2023)
- 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (2023)
Another example, is the Eras Tour. Right after that she also produced a movie of the Eras Tour. Taylor received a lot of money from the actual tour and the replica movie for the people who weren’t able to go. In total, she made 4.1 billion from the tour and 250 million from the movie. Her strategic planning promoted her and gave her the reputation she holds now. Get it ? Reputation, you know her album.
Overall, if it wasn’t for Taylor’s talent, business sense, and her character she would not be this high in the sky right now. But because she does have the charisma, and other qualities she is one of the biggest hit singers.
