Install Opencv on Mac

Solution

Follow the solution form here and it works.

I managed to fix the problem. First, I created an environment called opencv using
conda create -n opencv
I then activated it:
conda activate opencv
and downloaded an earlier version using a different command:
conda install -c anaconda opencv
This gave me opencv 3, not the most recent 4. I then created a second environment called opencv4. Use above code to create and activate. I finally did the standard download:
conda install -c conda-forge opencv
And it worked! The first environment, opencv3, may have created necessary files - or not. The solution could be just creating the environment. Feel free to try that out! FROM HERE

Trouble shoot

If you get the following error

>>> import cv2Traceback (most recent call last):File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cv2'

Restart the terminal and then it should work.
